Journey of the Heart:
Love, Art, and Rediscovering Joy
In life’s tapestry, some threads are woven with a blend of love, challenge, and profound transformation. Today, I share with you a personal story – one that temporarily moved my art to the back seat, but in turn, rekindled my spirit and reshaped my artistic journey.
The Challenge of Uncertainty: Four months ago, my world was shaken. Jon, my partner of nearly 40 years, my twin flame, faced a dire health crisis. His heart attack and subsequent surgery brought a stark realisation: the fragility of our shared time. I found myself wandering our home, pondering a life possibly alone, surrounded by memories and ‘things’ that suddenly seemed so transient.
Emotional Overcome: The thought of a world without Jon was unimaginable. We’ve been each other’s constants, partners in every sense. The uncertainty of those days was a heavy cloak, but it also brought clarity. It made us reevaluate what truly matters – our bond, the joys we share, and the experiences yet to come.
A Shift in Priorities: As Jon embarked on his journey of recovery, demonstrating immense strength and determination, our priorities shifted. We chose experiences over expenses, embracing life’s simplicity and shedding the weight of the trivial. This period also tested my dream of being a full-time artist, the main breadwinner. It was a challenge, but it reinforced my resolve.
Inspiration and New Beginnings: Jon’s resilience has been nothing short of inspiring. It ignited a spark in my creative world, leading to a new series of artworks themed around the ‘Yellow Brick Road’ – symbolising hope, adventure, and the courage to face the unknown.
As I return to my art studio, adorned with both bells and holly, I’m filled with gratitude. Gratitude for Jon’s recovery, for the love that sustains us, and for the artistic journey that awaits. Our story continues, and I invite you to join us on this path of love, art, and rediscovery.
Thank you for being part of our story. Your support and love have been a beacon during these times. Here’s to a future bright with colors, love, and shared journeys.
