This series is inspired by so many women, mending ourselves and keep going.
Healing Stitches, breast – is for all those cancer survivors, nearly 20 years ago, at just 30 I had a full mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. The first time I had spent any time in a hospital, apart from having my babies, this was the beginning of a new way of life. With cancer a veil lifted, the painful journey had begun, towards a road of clarity.
I wear the scars with pride and wouldn’t change a thing.

About the paintings & prints
This painting is 'digital art' created on my iPad using a variety of methods, each brushstroke is done with an Apple Pencil, using different mediums available on my iPad. Each piece of art has taken me many hours, sometimes days to complete.

Canvas prints, ready-to-hang
Printed to order on premium canvas, using UV-resistant, solvent-free inks. Then hand-stretched over a high quality FSC-certified spruce-wood stretcher frame (2cm thick). The image is stretched and folded around the edge of the frame, keeping the main image detail on the front of the canvas. The overall weight is surprisingly light, meaning your new picture is easily hung with just a couple of picture pins.

Printed to order on an elegant, durable but lightweight panel comprising a hard core sandwiched between two sheets of aluminium, with a hidden hanging system that gives the impression its floating on the wall. Suitable for any room, incl. kitchens & bathrooms. The matte finish is expertly treated to prevent UV damage too - ideal for hanging outdoors!
